Unusual facts about me ….

 

  1. I starred in a mobster Chinese movie in the 1980’s called “Kill them all.”
  2. I am fascinated by the personality cult around Mao Tse Tung.
  3. I was part of a swim team in high school.  My specialty was the 200 metre breast stroke.

 

My idea of a perfect day is answering all my email before going to bed.

The one thing I want to make sure people realize when they come to St. John’s is that we are normal people that put our pants on one leg at a time and together we form a community in which our abnormalities are covered by the grace of Christ.

My work at Tyndale University College centres around my role as V.P. and Academic Dean.  As such, I oversee a full time faculty of 32 and about 100 part time faculty.

My favourite bible character other than Jesus is John.

My favourite book in the Old Testament is Jeremiah.

My favourite book in the New Testament is James.

The best advice I could give a young adult is find your calling and let your life speak to the glory of God.

If I had a different job, I would like to be Governor General of Canada.

My favourite book from childhood is Treasure Island.

My nickname as a boy was Skeeter or Partridge.

My favourite sport is hockey.

I was born in Weston, Ontario.

I met Kelly as an elementary school student.  She was in Grade 1 and I was in Grade 4.  It took me a number of years to work up the courage to ask her out.

Kelly works at Specialty Care Bradford Valley as the Coordinator of Spiritual Care and Staff Development.

Jonathan is at Trinity College, University of Toronto reading literature and philosophy.

Danielle is at Wilfred Laurier University studying music.

Taylor is attending Bradford District High School and is interested in theatre.
