Lisa Thiessen ARCT MMus BMus began her professional studies at The University of Western Ontario and graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree. She completed graduate studies in piano pedagogy and performance at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.
Lisa has a variety of professional experiences from private studio teaching, examining, adjudicating, university teaching and music editing. She has a keen interest in pedagogy and mentoring new teachers. Currently, she is a member of the RCM College of Examiners and is the Music and Worship Coordinator at St John’s Presbyterian Church. Lisa particularly enjoys the creative aspect of bringing many age groups together in intergenerational services.
Lisa, her husband Robert and their son Solomon enjoy the outdoors with their boxer named “Satchmo”, named in honour of Louis Armstrong.
